Wyre B.C. – A Full Site Re-Developed by Play & Leisure

The play area at Great Eccleston had become tired & uninteresting for the local children. Play & Leisure were asked by Wyre B.C. to submit a design that would transform the play space. The brief was simple, to keep within the current fence line and provide a community facility that would inspire & captivate the children of Gt. Eccleston within a budget of £30k.

Our designers came up with a scheme that mixed both timber & steel equipment. The centre piece was a Robinia Activity Unit surrounded by swings, slides, seesaws, rotating climbers, interactive play panels and talk tubes, complimented by a picnic area for the whole family. Our design captivated Wyre B.C. and was given the go ahead.

The installation was undertaken earlier this year and, what was once a site with a couple of tired, old items of play, is now an adventure playground brimming with exciting new equipment. Vicky Goldstone, the representative from Wyre B.C., congratulated Play & Leisure on a job well done!
